Presenting Danny Gibson
Danny is an amazing artist, graphic designer, musician and all around nice guy, living and working in Los Angeles. His work is surreal, abstract, and the only piece that doesn’t use appropriated images, just three of his own paintings cut and put together as one.
Presenting Natasha Sud
I was blown away by Natasha’s collages if only for the beautiful work on the Watson’s Twin’s albums. They’re like a dream. Relationships; of animal headed people, horses holding flowers, all on a rug patterned sky. Her work is beautifully illustrative and colorful, and is a perfect match with all our other artists.
Presenting Aaron Farley
Last year Aaron began his LA Times collage project (which would lead to this show). where he worked with images exclusively found in each day’s LA TIMES for one month. Each of his pieces in this show are new workings of magazine layouts, made from fashion magazines and old science books. And he’ll have some magazines for sale.
If you’re in NY.
If you’re East Coast bound this weekend, Leo Fitzpatrick, (in our show too) has a solo show up in NY at Half Gallery as we speak, and he’s screening his movie on Saturday. Reaching out to both coasts.
Presenting Joe McKay
Everyone seems to know Joe McKay, he’s just one of those guys. Joe has worked with a whole slew of stuff recently including the new album cover for Broken Social Scene. He regularly shows in various group shows around the country, and just had a solo show at POVevolving in LA.
Presenting Leo Fitzpatrick
Leo Fitzpatrick has created a series of 8 collages that are the most minimal of the show. He’s used old images and text from romance novels and other old paperbacks to juxtapose phrases and images to create each single piece.
