We met Chris in Australia last fall after speaking at the Semi-Permanent conference. He is a great photographer and co-founder of one of the coolest magazines on the planet, Monster Children. We asked him the same 4 questions. -how and what was your last meal, Breakfast at home. Avocado on toast watching Shaun the Sheep with the kids. -describe your workspace is two words, Disorganised Mess. -last person you gave a hug too, My son Max as I left the house this morning. -who’s the next person you are going to talk to, On the email I’m talking to Joseph Szabo and his pr agent about getting his images for a feature in the next issue. Actually talk to though will most probably be Kieran or Lucy in the office. Lucy wanting to get the hell out of here, and Kieran wanting to know what the hell he’s doing in here.

Can’t wait to see what Raymond hangs for the first show. We met him a couple years ago when we photographed him for Converse. He was super eager to learn the ways of the 4×5 camera and shoots a ton of Polaroid. He’s a professional skateboarder and a picture taker. He answered our 4 questions -how and what was your last meal,  i was at the DMV for 3 hours this morning, and my friend benny treated me to a nice hot bowl of pho because i am low on funds from all the unpaid parking tickets and registration. -describe your workspace is two words,  non existent  -last person you gave a hug too,  Annie -who’s the next person you are going to talk to, bartender at sam’s hofbrau.

So excited to have Alex in the first show.. This isn’t the image she sent, so don’t get your undies in a bundle, but hers was one of the first to show up and I take a peek ever morning I walk in. Can’t wait to see it on the wall. She had her big opening tonight at M+B.

We just got Kelly’s piece in the mail.. Oh man, it’s a great one.. Also check out her kiiiiller endeavor Little Paper Planes. 4 questions -how was and what was your last meal, My meal was not bad, but not amazing. I had a cheese quesadilla with some salsa and a cucumber and avocado salad. -describe your workspace is two words, wood scraps -last person you gave a hug too, Matt Rubin -who’s the next person you are going to talk to, Jane the Cat.

Get completely tripped out at the Solo Show of our good buddy Sonny Kay opening at POVevolving in LA on Thurs. Feb. 11th. Its the night before our first biggun, which he is also a part of. Make a artsy farty pre weekend out of it. Consider it the ultra longest Valentines day ever. Sonny is giving out twice the LOVE by Friday.

Here is one of my favorite NK photos. He stopped by the other day, in from NY and just so happens to be one of the artists in our first show. Check out all of his numerous and great projects. He also answered our 4 questions.. -how was and what was your last meal, i had a beef and shrimp rice bowl from a japanese place I never ordered from before. i probably won’t do that again. -describe your workspace is two words, big and small -last person you gave a hug too, my friend Jen -who’s the next person you are going to talk to, I will see my neighbor Nicholas in the morning. We are building my new bedroom that i am also going to use as a small gallery space.

We just got an email from THIS pal Jason Lee alerting us to a teaser video he made of a longer documentary he made for the band Midlake. In his words “It’s a beautiful record, and I was happy to lug the old Bolex cameras out to Denton and capture the band and their world.
